Making the Rounds

So I have spent the last two days making the rounds - visiting daddy at work and going to mommy's school. On Wednesday, I made my first trip downtown, ate lunch out and went to Taft to see daddy at his office. Then on Thursday I went to school and saw mommy's friends and even visited one of her classes - man, those seniors sure are big! Of course I had to dress up for all my trips. Mommy put me in the first two dresses she bought when she found out I was going to be a girl. Unfortunately most of them are still a little too big. After all my travels I took a nap with brother. He is the only thing that sleeps more than me!

Memorial Day Weekend

The holiday weekend came and I was looking forward to spending time with my family and mommy's friends from high school, Melissa & Laura, who came for a visit. They definitely had a lot of fun stories about mommy! I will have to remember them when I get older to use against her. I also hung out with brother, played air guitar in my bouncy seat and fell asleep with mommy on the couch. I went to my grandparents on Sunday so everyone could hold me and tell me how cute I was. All in all, a very fun and successful holiday weekend.

My Week

Hey guys -

I finally have a chance to write. It sure has been busy. Tuesday was Kentucky's primary and I took part in my first election. I am sure there are many more to come when your mommy is a Government teacher! My Grandma Hewett from Tennessee visited this week and we got to spend lots of time together. We had lunch at Cracker Barrel yesterday - the first of many trips there, I am sure. Noah came to visit and I had dinner with all my grandparents on Wednesday. No wonder everyone is so worn out!

Whirlwind Weekend

I have had quite the busy social calendar this weekend. It started Friday morning when mommy forced me to watch New Kids on the Block on the Today show. She also figured out that the laundry basket makes a good babysitter when taking a shower - since it was the first day we spent by ourselves with daddy at work. Saturday I got to meet my BFF, Noah Gracey, and spent time with the mock trial attorney coaches - I really liked Cathy! Mommy, daddy and Buckley took me for my first stroller walk and the Stinnett's came to visit from Louisville. Whew! I was so worn out I slept through the night and I really think mommy appreciated it!

I've Been Busy!

Sorry it's been a while - I have been busy! On Monday, I took my first trip out of the house. I went to the doctor's office and found out I was perfectly healthy and had only lost 7 oz from my hospital weight. But more importantly, I became a real American - with my first visit to Wal-Mart! Tuesday I went to Babies 'R' Us and Steak & Shake with mommy, daddy and grandma Kuhnhein. We had fun but man, it made me tired! Even though he didn't go with us - it made my brother, Buckley, tired too. So many people have visited, sent cards and flowers - Thank you, I have loved all the attention!

Mother's Day

We celebrated our first Mother's Day on Sunday. Mommy got some love from me and my big brother, Buckley. Daddy fixed her waffles and goetta for breakfast - both grandmothers visited too. It was great day and I think everyone appreciates mothers a lot more after my arrival.

As you you can see things started out a little dark for me but it got better when I could actually "see" my mommy & daddy. They seem to still like me even though I kept them up all night!

Homecoming

So we have been home from the hospital for 24 hours - it seems like a lot longer! It is amazing how much we have learned since Annie arrived. We can do most things with one hand, swaddle as tightly as a Chipotle burrito and survive on 3-4 hours of sleep. Annie has had many visitors - all her grandparents, Aunt Kelly & Uncle Scott, great aunts, great uncles and great grandmother - not to mention supportive friends. She has loved meeting you all. We will put up some pictures tomorrow (we promise Fritsche family!). Annie would also like to take this opportunity to welcome her BFF - Noah Meikle Gracey - and remind him that she is two days older. Check back with us soon

Due Date - Came & Went...

When you tell people you are pregnant the first question they ask - When is the baby due? So you spend months and months focusing on that one date. For me, that date was May 2nd, and that was yesterday. I have another doctor's appointment with an ultrasound on Thursday and then we will discuss induction - hopefully I won't have to go to that appointment.

Chris and I ate Indian food last night and I ordered a spicy dish in the hopes of naturally inducing labor. Instead, I was up most of the night with a squirming baby and indigestion...While I am a little frightened of labor and the idea of caring for a newborn - the desire to be done with pregnancy is starting to overshadow all that. I guess that is why gestation is 40 weeks!
