My First Thanksgiving

I really enjoyed my first Thanksgiving yesterday. Granny and Papa Hewett came up from Tennessee and the rest of the Kuhnheins joined us - Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Scott and Aunt Kelly. I took a big nap but woke up just in time for Thanksgiving dinner. Since everyone was eating so much I decided to eat all my carrots AND bananas. Now I see why people gain so much weight during the holidays. Mommy and brother seemed to be really tired at the end of the day - I guess cleaning up from dinner and begging for food can really wear you out!

Cold Weather & Thanksgiving - It Must be November!

So now that the weather is getting colder I have started wearing my blue jeans and turtlenecks. I even got my first "real" pair of shoes. Of course, they're pink! Aren't they cute? Grandma and Grandpa Kuhnhein brought me a hat to keep my head warm in the cold weather too. Then on Sunday - when it warmed up a little bit - we went to the store to buy everything for Thanksgiving dinner. It was my first time sitting in the grocery cart and I wore my "Little Turkey" shirt to celebrate the occasion. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! I am thankful for my loving family and for all you of that read my blog.

Quality Time with the Family

I traveled to Tennessee this weekend to visit Granny and Papa. I also got to see all of my Hewett family including Uncle Jack and Aunt Joy - Congrats on the engagement! I like the ring, it sure is shiny. All that family time made me so tired I actually took three naps! I better rest up for Thanksgiving.

Keepin' Busy

I have been busy over the last week. Since I have started eating solids - including vegetables - I spent a lot of time in my bumbo seat with a messy face. I also like to bounce in my exersaucer since I can stand up now(with a little help). You can see why I haven't had much time to write lately. Gotta go, my sweet potatoes are calling!

Half a Year Down!

I turned six months old on Saturday. Can you believe it? I am doing many amazing things these days. I can kinda sit up. I sometimes hold my bottle by myself. I am even sleep more at night, mommy and daddy are very happy about that one! We went out to dinner to celebrate, but I didn't get any of the good food, only a bottle. Maybe that will change once I get some teeth... Let's hope the next half of the year goes as well as the first half!

Election Day

It was my first presidential election and boy was it exciting! I got up early to go vote with mommy and daddy. We cast our ballot for Barack Obama & Joe Biden and became part of history. Daddy even made a new yard sign after someone stole ours (again) - hard to believe what politics does to some people. It doesn't matter because he won and will be our 44th president! Maybe this is the beginning of a career in politics for me...

Halloween!

I really enjoyed my first Halloween - there was lots to do. We went trick-or-treating at day care and I got a whole bag of candy for mommy and daddy. I helped hand out candy at the house and saw all of the crazy costumes. Mommy even gave me a candy wrapper to chew on. Brother dressed up as a pumpkin but I don't think he liked it too much. Finally, I blew out the candle in the jack-0-lantern. I can't wait to do it all again next year!
